Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself to you.

I have had the privilege of owning The Realty Group since 2006 and have been in the real estate profession in Janesville, serving Beloit, Milton, Edgerton and all of Rock County since 1996. I have helped hundreds of families buy and sell homes, many for the second, third and fourth times.

I am married to the love of my life and have two boys in college. Next to my family, real estate is my passion. Because of the enjoyment I receive working for and with people, I find this the perfect job. I have been very active in the Rock-Green Realtors Association, being on the Board of Directors for 6 years and President of the association 2005-2006. I received Rock/Green Realtor of the year in 2006. From 2005-2006, I served as a director of the South Central Wisconsin Realtor Association and I am currently on the State of Wisconsin Board of Directors. Having 2 boys that attended St. Paul's school, I served on the school board for 6 years and President of the school board for 3 years. In my spare time, I enjoy golf, snowmobiling and coaching.

I believe in educating you, the customer or client, so when you are making a real estate decision, you feel comfortable and informed. My knowledge of the area's inventory has enabled me to sell properties when they have only been on the market a few hours. Other times I have monitored properties for months to keep my buyers informed so they could find the perfect house to call "HOME".

I am glad to say we have weathered the storm and the housing market is back! Multiple counter-offers that were a thing of the past are now becoming the norm.

I've always been a people person, so probably the main reason my sales have increased is that I'm now fully utilizing all the latest technical tools. I've found they help me to work more productively so I have more time to provide my clients with the frequent and timely communication they deserve. I have a high tech website that allows buyers and sellers to easily obtain more information such as:

• What's My House Worth? This cool feature lets you do your own mini market analysis before calling me.
• Interactive Map Search shows sold and active homes by just pointing on a map.
• Every flyer I publish now has a QR Code enabling you to scan it with your cell phone and go directly to information about the property.

Also, after being in the real estate business for years and because of my love of the industry, I decided to take on a new venture. In 2013 I took on a new part of the real estate world ... Property Management. I became the Owner/Broker of R.K. Smith Realty which currently manages over 700 rental units. From your very first apartment to your retirement home (and everything in between), I can help you make informative decisions.

I offer honest, personal and prompt service with professionalism and integrity. Because the sale of real estate is becoming extremely sophisticated, I offer many innovative advertising and marketing techniques to attract potential buyers.
